The 100 Very Best Restaurants for 2014

November 1, 2014

A $250-per-person modernist joy ride with José Andrés at the wheel. A $12.50 takeout box of the crispiest fried chicken we’ve ever tasted. Those are two ends of the wild and colorful spectrum of our critics’ favorite places to eat this year. In between, there are some terrific newcomers (a couple of which landed in our ranked list of the top 25 restaurants), fabulous splurges and affordable gems, and plenty of other reasons to get excited about going out to dinner.

LongListThe list is obviously VERY long. Too long to put in a blog. I mean, really. We’re just thinking of YOU, our beloved readers! So, if ya got a minute to spare (and we hope you do!), check the list out at this link right here (but be sure to come back!):

See any favorites on the list? Know of a restaurant that SHOULD have made the list? Well, don’t just sulk about it…tell us! I think you know what to do: leave a comment, share, like. We’re all ears!

Until next time….

I have to check out a couple of these restaurants during one of my visits to the tri-state, DC, MD, & VA areas! (Granted, DC isn’t considered a state, technically, but please play along, shall we? 🙂

It took me a moment to catch on when I questioned myself, “Why are these top 100 restaurants all only within DC, MD, or VA? Aren’t there A-Level restaurants in the other 47 states! Then, it dawned on me, the list was featured in, The Washingtonian! So, these top 100 restaurants are to cater to those visiting the tri-state area! …Duh! LOL.

Nevertheless, as I stated in my first sentence, I’ll have to check out a couple of these restaurants when I visit the area. Thanks for posting this list! I love fine-dining, so, having a list of the top restaurants already chosen, will save me some time! Thank you! 🙂
